All I Want for Christmas is some PinUp Girls

Pinup as an art form has been around since the 1890s.  Pinup girl pictures reached their heyday in the 1940s and exploded after that.

Compare that to Christmas.  Sure, Christmas has been around as a religious observance for a very long time, and some parts of it as a pagan holiday for even longer than that.

But many of the modern views on Christmas began with the publication of A Visit From St. Nicolas (More commonly known as, "Twas the Night before Christmas" which, though older, is not THAT much older.  (It was written in 1823).

The Modern commercial version of Christmas also experienced a boom starting post World War II.  So in many ways as Christmas has grown up over the years to be the centerpiece holiday of the year for most Americans, so has pinup girl art grown to be one of the favorite truly American art forms.

This page is dedicated to a small sampling of some of the great pinup girl art that also happens to be dedicated to the centerpiece holiday of the year: Christmas.  Enjoy the Christmas Pinup Girls Art and of course have a very Happy Holidays!
